Pierre the poodle found himself left at the Humane Society of North Texas desperately in need of care. The sweet little dog was covered in years worth of matted hair, soaked in feces and urine, and riddled with fleas.

URGENT NEED 
The Humane Society of North Texas took possession of several severely neglected animals today. And by severely we mean YEARS of neglect. We think Pierre is a Poodle? and approximately four years old. These animals are in agony from the weight of their dreadlocks weighed down by dirt, feces and urine. These precious fur-kids will need hours of grooming, ongoing medical care from unknown skin conditions and concerns with general health from the weight of the matted fur.

Fortunately for Pierre, he was in some wonderful, caring hands. A call for donations on Facebook got the attention of a local PetSmart, who offered to provide Pierre with the grooming he so desperately needed free of charge.
