If you’re a fan of pop culture, you probably love the Roloffs as much as we do.
The family, who live on a farm near Portland, Oregon, shot to fame when they starred in “Little People, Big World”, a show on TLC that documented the daily challenges of living with dwarfism.
Though the show was supposed to come to an end after the sixth season, there was so much love for the family that fans begged them to continue… and the twenty-first season premiered in September 2020.
If you’ve been following the Roloffs since the beginning, you probably can’t believe how far they’ve come since then.
The family is closer than ever, and the children are growing up fast. Many of us can remember little Jackson as a newborn, but he’s now 3-years-old and finally ready to start school.
Of course, mom Tori had to share the milestone moment on Instagram – and the adorable pic melted hearts around the world.
The photo showed a beaming Jackson all set to go, wearing a backpack, with a lunch bag at his side.
He held a cute sign that documented his age and today’s date, as well as his future career aspirations – the ambitious little lad wants to be a pilot.
In the caption of her post, Tori wrote:
“It’s fine. I’m fine. My sweet baby J had his first day of school today! He’s been asking for so long to go to school and he finally got to go today! My mama heart was bursting with pride watching him March in like he owned the place.”
According to Tori, Jackson gave her “a big hug and kiss” and “said ‘peace mom!’ ✌🏼”. She added:
“I love this kid so stinking much!! So proud of you Jackson! ❤️#babyjroloff #timeisathief.”
It can certainly be hard watching your children grow up, as exciting as these milestones are.
Fans shared Tori’s excitement about Jackson’s first day of school in the post’s comment section.
One person wrote:
“Stop it right now he’s not old enough for this 😭😍”
We know exactly what they mean – who else can remember the videos of Jackson as a newborn baby?
Someone else commented on Jackson’s career ambition, writing:
“I’m a Pilot and I love that he has the desire to be one too! I would love to have him on a flight and show him the ropes 🛫”
As of now, Tori and Zach only have two children together, though there were hints last year that Tori might be preparing to have another baby.
Unfortunately, Tori shared an Instagram post this week announcing that she had suffered a miscarriage.
She wrote:
“We were so excited to share some exciting news this week. We were so excited when we found out we were expecting baby #3, and we couldn’t wait to share. We went in for our first ultrasound at 8 weeks and found out that we lost our sweet baby two weeks earlier.
“I’ve honestly never felt loss like I did in that moment. I’ve never felt so sad, angry, and scared in a single moment. I had no symptoms of losing out sweet angel baby and nothing could have prepared me for hearing our sweet baby was gone.”
It’s a devastating experience for any mom, and a reason why it’s so harmful to speculate about pregnancy.
