We have seen a lot of interesting animals here at BuzzNick. We’ve seen animals born with two heads, we’ve seen abandoned animals make a full recovery, and more! But this is definitely the first time I have ever seen a turquoise cat. The cat was not dyed turquoise by a human. The story behind this turquoise cat is absolutely unique and will make you question all that you know about your favorite feline buddy.
This is the turquoise cat. It doesn’t have a name as it is a stray cat that roams the streets of Varna, Bulgaria in search of food.
When the cat was first discovered, locals thought it was an act of vandalism and animal cruelty. They even started a Facebook page in hopes of finding the so-called offenders.
As the cat roamed the streets more and more, appearing healthy, they decided that maybe the cat had rolled around in some green paint found in the garbage. They thought he licked himself all over and that’s why he was green.
The locals set out to catch this poor feline and give him a good bath to get rid of the green. But they haven’t been able to catch him, other than with a camera.
They don’t believe the cat is in any danger as it has been roaming the streets of Bulgaria for over a year and still appears healthy.
It definitely gives this cat a very unique look. It’d be hard for him to blend in with his surroundings.
This cat does seem happy and healthy, and he’s making friends. No need to bother him anytime soon.
This is a pretty unusual cat, but I’m glad that the residents of Varna are treating him like any other cat, feeding him and making sure he’s healthy.
Meet this amazing turquoise cat in the video below.
I don’t think my cat would be all that thrilled if he was a lovely shade of turquoise, but it does seem that the cat in Bulgaria doesn’t mind one bit. He probably gets a lot of extra attention because of his unusual color. Since nobody knows how this happened, what is your best guess as to why this cat is now turquoise?
What do you think of this green cat?
