This momma cat was wandering through a neighbor’s yard when the man picked up her by the tail and slammed her into the side of a trailer. He was upset that the cat was on his property. The cat ended up being paralyzed, and what seemed like a goner for sure.
The cat had a litter of kittens that were only one week old, so they were collected by the local RSPCA and taken to a care facility. The next day though, an amazing thing happened.
The momma cat started using her front paws to drag herself back the last location she knew her kittens were at. Unfortunately her kittens were no longer there. The rescue found out that the momma was still alive however, and quickly went and got her and reunited her with her babies.
The owner of the rescue organization said she believes that Princess (momma cat’s name) was given the will to live by her little babies.
Princess will have to be kept at the care facility for the rest of her life however. Her injuries were extremely extensive. She can no longer urinate or defecate on her own, which makes special care a must.
It’s extremely fortunate someone noticed Princess when they did. She would not have survived long in the condition she was in.
How someone could do this to a poor little cat is truly astounding. This cat did nothing but wander into the yard next door. I understand that animals if your yard can be a nuisance, but taking this kind of action against an animal is sickening. Thankfully someone is willing to give Princess the care she needs to live a happy life. These people are true heroes. Luckily, the man who committed this horrible has been arrested. There is justice in the world.
