A kitty in California is desperately looking for a new home for Christmas – after receiving no interest so far, due to her unusual appearance.

Five-month-old Kaya has already been through so much in her short life, but still has a playful and affectionate temperament

The moggy, who has a congenital facial abnormality, has currently received zero adoption applications – but the team at To Rescue are hoping that the right owner is just around the corner.

Kaya gets along well with her foster families as well as other cats and dogs – so, no doubt, will settle into a new home really quickly.

What’s more, she’s already been been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and has tested negative for leukaemia and FIV.

The kitten is also having a procedure this week to relieve discomfort from her eyes – and this operation is a one-off, so she won’t require any further medical attention.

The To Rescue team are urging people to look past her outer imperfections and ‘give this girl the opportunity to have a loving family of her own’ – something she really deserves.

They also stress that ‘everyone who meets her falls in love with her’ – so she has a lot to offer any potential owners.

Anyone thinking of giving the cat a forever home should get in touch with To Rescue, in Los Angeles, on 909-267-9715 – or they can visit torescue.org to download an application.

Little Osho was found ‘covered in dirt, underweight and infested with fleas’ but animal welfare charity Blue Cross helped to get him on the mend and he’ll be heading to his new owners soon.

A success story we love to see.
