Additional home security is highly essential these days.
You need to have security cameras on your property to be protected from trespassers and burglars that may try to invade or steal from your home.
A home-security and smart-home company named Ring, has been actively advertising its products in the hopes of helping homeowners alleviate their fears and worries from uninvited people.
During the holidays, for instance, several packages are just left by the deliverymen at the doorstep of recipients, leading to a rise in theft.
To help address the situation, Ring came up with a security system feature allowing the homeowner to watch a live video stream through a device.
Through the system, the homeowner can speak to the person who steps on your porch using a speaker received through the doorbell and directed to the homeowner’s phone.
Trying to run away from a bobcat, the little girl named Lauren went to her neighbor’s property to ask for help. However, nobody was home at that moment. But the Ring system was able to record as soon she reached the porch.
Feeling too scared to be followed by the bobcat, she knocks at the door a few times.
Since nobody is answering, she tries knocking again and did it much louder, hoping that the homeowner would open the door this time.
Afraid that the bobcat is behind her, she repeatedly looked over her shoulder.
Feeling more scared now since there’s no one opening the door, she begins to cry.
She then hears a voice, and it is the homeowner’s daughter.
She says hi to Lauren, thinking that she just wanted to play. She said she’s coming home really soon.
But the little girl was quick to explain what happened.
She said,
“No, please come open the door, there’s a bobcat, and I want to come in. Please!”
The homeowner heard what she said and told her that they would be home in no time. She instructed Lauren to just stay where she is.
Lauren asked again if somebody’s home. But the homeowner assures her that they will be home in one minute.
Lauren says,
“I really want to come in because, my mom, I don’t know where my mom is. I think my mom is back home, and I saw it.”
Though Lauren is frightened, being able to talk to somebody and reassuring her that they’re coming to help make her feel safer and better.
They assured her that they are just close by and that everything will be okay, and they will call her mom once they arrive.
The homeowner told her daughter not to hang up and just continue talking to Lauren until they reach home.
Lauren felt relieved to see her neighbor’s car pulled up from where she’s standing.
Thanks to the Ring system which really helped Lauren during that scary situation after seeing a bobcat.
With the amazing technology from Ring that lets you talk to people who comes on the porch, you can help and comfort a crying little girl like Lauren, even when you are not home.
